Not sure how to start this out or what I really want to say but, here it goes...
Its hunting time! Elk season is just around the corner and I am super excited. Although my father and uncles are big hunters, I grew-up in the city and did not have much opportunity to go out and do any serious hunting. It wasn't till' last year that I really got into it with my first elk hunt. It was everything I hoped for, almost. I was able to enjoy the outdoors, the snow and the beauty of the wildlife. I saw deer, moose, wild sheep, and anteloppe... The almost part was that I didn't see one Elk... not a bull... not a cow.... nothing. I am more hopeful this year though, I have a new gun, and a new hope. My father-in-law who has worked as a hunting guide just landed a nice bull... (not the same one in the picture, but it was nice)... This is his first bull in about 15+ years from what i understand, so I am hopefull that I will have success. Wish me luck!

I hope that Adam posted this. I'm sorry, Cher Bear, but I just can't imagine you tromping through the snow taking down large game. But if I'm wrong, you've got some serious girl power!
When I first read this I'm thinking...WOW..SHE'S an animal..haha :-) Now I understand...the hubby posted this. I've been around hunting my whole life & now married someone who WORSHIPS it :-) Good luck to you this season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH my goodness! LOL! We are all it seems having the same reaction to adam's blog post! I didn't even think this was my blog and checked the address twice! Then I read it and it all came together...but still! It caught me off guard! LOL!
